NEC announced it will display four new LCDs, ranging from multimodality monitors to dedicated mammography displays, at RSNA 2006, extending its lines of displays for professional, mammography and OR applications .
The new MultiSync LCD2690WUXi, a 2.3-megapixel, 25.5-inch wide-screen LCD offers a 6.5-millisecond response time (gray to gray), plus a Horizontal in Plane Switching (H-IPS) module for color representation. The panel reportedly reduces off-angle color shift.
NEC’s line of professional displays will expand to include LCD2690WUXi, a detachable stand that is height-adjustable, which is packaged with the X-Light Pro backlight/sensor design, which is designed to keep brightness and color settings over the useful life of the display.
The company’s bew 5-megapixel grayscale display MD205MG-CB, is designed for mammography applications and to support grayscale tones in both 10-bit and 8-bit. NEC plans to release the system in April 2007 following FDA 510(k) clearance.
NEC will also unveil a new line of monitors – a 40-inch and 46-inch LCD – for the OR, teaching facilities and digital signage environments.
