Fujifilm and The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) launched today a national public education campaign called Images of Health: Mammograms for a Million Moms, a program to raise awareness and help save lives by encouraging over one million women in America to pledge to get a mammogram by logging onto www.imagesofhealth.com.
The campaign supports the NBCF mission to save lives through breast cancer education and programs that provide for the screening of underserved women. In addition to this initiative, Fujifilm is contributing $250,000 to the NBCF and donating two of its recently FDA-approved digital mammography systems, Fuji Computed Radiography for Mammography (FCRm).
“Screening mammography has been shown to reduce mortality rates by 63 percent. Until there is a cure, we must continue to help women and their families understand the benefits of mammography,” said Janelle Hail, founder and president of NBCF. “We look forward to working with Fujifilm and spreading this message and saving lives through the Images of Health: Mammograms for a Million Moms initiative.”
