Sorna's new eXpedo Software Version 2.6, is a workflow software solution designed to automate and streamline DICOM CD/DVD production using its DISCflow profiles.

Version 2.6 reportedly expedites eXpedo’s customizable features enable users to optimize DISC-burning hardware at a faster pace.

The company also introduced eXpedo Classic, designed for users need to transfer diagnostic images from a patient examination from one or multiple networked modalities and have a DICOM CD/DVD produced rapidly. eXpedo Classic software is available on Sorna’s models 5i and 22i.

The company also said the MIMviewer from MIMvista Corp. can now be embedded on DICOM CDs or DVDs created by eXpedo systems using Version 2.6 software. DISCS created by eXpedo can have multiple DICOM viewers embedded in them. The MIMviewer provides specialized viewing and image manipulation capabilities for users who review PET/CT, PET, SPECT, SPECT/CT, nuclear medicine and MRI images using PCs and laptops rather than diagnostic workstations.

The Reviewer DUET is an integrated system for single CD/DVD creation, providing a fully-integrated solution for very low volume users for whom a networked DICOM CD/DVD publishing system with manual, single DISC creation meets their needs. The system is operated by Reviewer, Sorna’s handy-dandy DICOM software “toolbox”. In addition to creating DICOM and patient CDs and DVDs, the system facilitates the importing of external CDs into a diagnostic workstation or PACS, and can merge internal images and images from an external DISC to create a new CD/DVD with both.
