The Codonics Horizon XL Multimedia Imager is reportedly intended for printing long bone studies, scoliosis and pediatric and adult spines on long film for surgical planning.
Digitally stitched images from CR/DR applications are printed true-to-size on one, continuous film up to 51 inches in length, ensuring the surgeon’s measurements during templating and surgical planning. The Horizon XL is reportedly the only printing solution that facilitates the transition from analog to digital where long film is a requirement. The Horizon XL meets surgeons preferred practice of viewing true-size images on film more than four feet in length of complete spines and limb lengths from hip to ankle. Available in two sizes, the 14-by-36 inches and 14-by-51 inches, dry film is daylight safe and easy to handle and folds to fit in a standard film jacket, according to the company.
In addition to long film, Horizon XL simultaneously prints multiple sizes of diagnostic film, color paper and grayscale paper.
