Carestream Health Inc. debuted its new KODAK DRYVIEW 6800 Laser Imager that offers high-speed, high-resolution image output for general radiography and digital mammography applications, reportedly ideal for breast imaging centers, emergency rooms and outpatient imaging centers, as well as radiology departments.

The new laser imager produces 650 pixels-per-inch output for all images in all sizes, while maintaining throughput of up to 200 films per hour, according to the company. The imager supports film output from digital imaging modalities including computed radiography and digital radiography, as well as PACS.

Up to three film drawers can accommodate five film sizes and an optional five-bin sorter reportedly enables easy retrieval of films in a multimodality environment. The imager’s touch screen user interface is available in English, Chinese (simplified), Korean, Japanese, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Polish, Russian and Turkish.

The DRYVIEW 6800 laser imager is now available worldwide.
