Integrating new “smart software” protocol-based ultrasound, the SonoAce X8 leap-frogs conventional Windows-based systems. It allows users to modify system controls with simple, intuitive steps using new software protocols built into the system. It reportedly allows users to modify system controls with protocols already input in the system. According to manufacturer, it is designed as a true multimodality ultrasound system, performing abdominal, OB/GYN, small parts, vascular and/or cardiac examinations. It features a wide variety of premium functions, including high-resolution 3-D imaging, live 3-D, 3-DXI, full spectrum imaging, dynamic MR as well as spatial compound imaging. The system incorporates a high-resolution 17-inch LCD monitor with an articulated arm for optimal ergonomic viewing during the ultrasound examination. The system is mobile and its intuitive interactive console is equipped for the busy hospital department, imaging centers or private offices.
