It began in 2006 with dramatic reductions in reimbursements for outpatient imaging procedures brought about by the Deficit Reduction Act (DRA.) Some believed the end of outpatient facilities was at hand. Yet in working with imaging centers nationwide for more than 15 years, I’ve seen organizations that have not only survived, but actually thrived through changes brought about by the DRA.
