May 4, 2011 – Researchers from the University of Cincinnati presented results from a prospective study demonstrating how positron emission mammography (PEM)-guided biopsy may expedite pre-operative work-up and reduce radiation exposure for breast cancer patients.

May 3, 2011 – Launching a new digital radiology (DR) campaign in partnership with Samsung Mobile Display, Viztek has successfully installed the first several units that combine DR technology with Viztek’s proprietary software. The DR systems use both using cesium (CsI) and gadolinium (GdOS) technology.

May 2, 2011 – The mid-point for enrollment was reached in of the international APPOSITION III study of Stentys self-apposing coronary stent. About 250 patients are now enrolled out of a total of 500. The trial primary endpoint is major adverse cardiac events (MACE) at 12 months post-procedure.
